June Training Events

There are 2 training events this month, both related to bolting.

• Wednesday 9th will be an introduction to bolting by Al Warild, including the new CRS bolting kits.
• Saturday 19th will be the practical side at a quarry near Wombeyan caves. We'll be placing some bolts, doing some basic load testing and (hopefully) removing them (more details to follow)

Both events are open to everyone, however numbers will be limited for the Saturday. It would be preferable to attend both events, however we know this won't be possible for everyone - eg if you can't make the Saturday, it would still be worthwhile to come on the Wednesday so you are aware of what gear we have and what it can do.

Due to the time and resources available, we'll be focussing on how to place bolts rather than where to place bolts. For those who attend, there is the possibility of being involved in some re-bolting work at Bungonia later this year, including some caves where access is restricted.
