The 2009 Annual General Meeting for the Squad will be held on Wednesday 12th August 2009, starting at 19:30 at the Bankstown HQ. All members are invited and encourage to attend. All financial and Life members are encouraged to check out the committee positions and, if interested, to nominate themselves. Members that are unable to attend are requested to forward an apology to the Secretary prior to the meeting.

Vertical Refresher Training

The Squad (well actually Kevin on behalf of the Squad and BWRS) is running some vertical training refresher days prior to the full vertical rescue course planned for later in the year. These will be open to all members, including new Squad members, with basic cave vertical skills: that is you can safely ascend and descend yourself.

The dates will be added to the formal calendar shortly but they are: 25 July, 15 August (TBC) and 19 September.

Please contact me (kev...@caverescue.org.au) for more details.

January 2009 Cave Rescue Squad Newsletter

Introduction

Hi all and welcome to 2009. I know it's been a while since you've all heard from
me but I've been hiding and trying to finish my PhD. Unfortunately it's not gone
in yet but as everyone (including my supervisors) is telling me not to stress
and it will be done when it's done it's time for me to catch up with some CRS
business.

Welcome To 2009

Hi all and welcome to 2009 with the Squad. There is a lot of training and other events being planned so check out the calendar via the events link in the menu.
